Granny Flat (Example 01)
This project was completed under the State Environmental Planning Policy – Affordable Rental Housing. It was completed through a private certifier with no interaction with Council.
The proposal makes use of the maximum 60sq.m allowance for living areas, plus a 14sq.m deck area off one side. Granite benchtops in the kitchen, lined verandah with downlights, and superior furnishings give a quality finish to this rental house.
As it has been completed under the Affordable Rental Housing SEPP, the proposal is a complete secondary dwelling, with two bedrooms, living area with full kitchen, bath and laundry. It can be legally rented out separate to the main dwelling.
