Unit Development (Example 02)
The clients approached Plan Vision with a brief for this one to keep the existing dwelling, and then construct two new dwellings at the rear of the lot facing the rear street.
The existing dwelling was to be Torrens Title subdivided from the units, and the units were to be sold once constructed. They were looking for as much return on investment that they could get.
The design went for relatively straight forward units, but with a modern, clean look, that was suitable for the area they were located in (which did not have too many modern designs).
A large open plan living space on the ground floor flows onto the rear open space area, incorporating indoor and outdoor living. Stairs up to the upper floor which consisted of three large bedrooms, main bedroom with ensuite and WIR, large bathroom, and a landing area at the top of the stairs.
In the end the dwellings both sold, one for $460,000 and the other for $462,000. The clients were very happy and are currently looking for another opportunity to do something similar with Plan Vision as the designer.
